John Hyden came out of the qualifier and as the 5th seed made it to the finals where he competed against Phil Dalhausser for the title. In the finals Hyden and Mike Lambert came out on top against Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal in a 3 set match earning John Hyden the crown as "AVP God of the Beach".
